We understand the importance of proper dust control

Industrial and agricultural producers worldwide are becoming more aware of the significant health and safety problems associated with uncontrolled dust accumulations in their plants and production facilities. The dangers of combustible dust and respirable silica are two of the high-focus areas for OSHA, NFPA, ISSA and other standards associations that create and monitor industrial safety guidelines and regulations. Current guidelines from all regulatory sources indicate vacuuming as the industry “best practice” for removing dust and particulate waste from facility equipment and surrounding surfaces. Blowing down dust with compressed air or brushing it down is strictly prohibited under these guidelines since these methods create dust clouds that can lead to serious health and safety concerns. For some dust-generating industrial processes, engineered controls and process changes can be implemented to minimize dust generation. However, regular plant housekeeping programs are a key element of most industrial dust management programs. As regulations become more and more stringent, the need for routine housekeeping programs will continue to be an important component of any proactive dust control strategy.
